Samsung Develops World's 1st 'Motion-Recognition' Phone

In my first post today, I was talking about how important it was for innovators to come up with some idea soon to make mobile phones more interesting. Well I kept on reading and looking up and From this article I found out that Samsung has developed the world's 1st Motion-Recognition phone!

Here are some of the article particles:

"Using a six-axis sensor that it says can interpret simple human motions, the SCH-S310 phone allows users to dial phone numbers by writing the numbers into the air instead of pressing buttons, Samsung Electronics said in a statement."

"The new device also enables users to delete unsolicited commercial text messages by shaking the phone up and down, the company said. "

That sounds exciting, doesn't it? The question I've got of course is whether they made the phone "hackable" in terms of, whether people could use a provided API for example to write SMS by making signs in the air! Now that would be fun!
